Buyer’s Guide to Choosing Workplace Safety Gloves

Safety gloves help protect hands during chemical handling, construction, maintenance, gardening, welding and other workplace tasks. Insinc’s range includes chemical-resistant, coated, cotton, cut-resistant, heat-resistant, leather, nitrile, nylon, PVC, polyurethane, touchscreen and welding gloves.

Options include lightweight chemical-resistant gloves, cut-level gloves and touchscreen-compatible work gloves in sizes from small to 2X-large.

Which Safety Glove Should You Choose?

Choose gloves according to the hazard rather than appearance alone. Chemical-resistant gloves should be matched to the substance being handled, while cut-resistant gloves are available in different protection levels for handling sharp materials.

Coated or grip gloves suit general handling, while leather, heat-resistant and welding gloves are designed for more specialised work. Touchscreen models allow compatible devices to be used without repeatedly removing the gloves.

What Do Cut Levels Mean?

Higher cut levels generally indicate increased resistance to cutting hazards. The range includes Cut 1, Cut 3 and Cut 5 gloves, including HPPE and high-visibility options for selected industrial tasks.

Always check the applicable safety rating, material, coating and size before ordering. No single glove protects against every chemical, blade, temperature or mechanical hazard, so workplace risk assessments and manufacturer guidance should determine the correct choice.
