Buyer’s Guide to Choosing Whiteboard Markers

Whiteboard markers are useful for meetings, classrooms, planning sessions, presentations and everyday workplace communication. Insinc’s range includes fine, bullet, chisel and jumbo markers in black, blue, green, red and orange.

Individual markers and assorted packs are available from Icon, Okin and Pilot, along with Post-it dry-erase surfaces and a compatible accessory tray.

Which Marker Tip Should You Choose?

Fine-tip markers suit detailed writing, smaller whiteboards and compact diagrams. Bullet tips create a consistent line for general notes, while chisel tips can produce both narrow and broad strokes depending on the writing angle.

Jumbo markers are better suited to large boards, headings and information that needs to be visible from farther away.

Choosing Whiteboard Surfaces and Accessories

Post-it dry-erase surfaces are available in sizes from 900 x 600mm to 2400 x 1200mm, providing options for home offices, meeting rooms and shared workspaces. A separate tray can help keep markers and accessories organised.

Use only markers intended for dry-erase surfaces, and test unfamiliar products before use to reduce the risk of staining.
